Dress Code

Sundridge Park Golf Club is keen to provide a welcoming environment for our members, families and guests whilst at the same time maintaining reasonable standards of dress which reflect current trends.

To accommodate this, we have simplified our dress code to the following:

On the Courses and Practice Putting Greens

• Golfers may wear any recognised golfing apparel, but must wear spikeless or soft-spiked golf shoes.

• When wearing shorts, golfers should wear either long socks of any colour or short socks which, if visible, should be predominantly white.

• Unless specifically designed to be worn untucked, shirts should be tucked into trousers, shorts, skirts or skorts.

• Hats should be worn with peaks to the front.

Driving Range & Short Game Area

Members may wear either "golf apparel" or “smart casual” clothing as defined above.

Clubhouse 

Clean and smart casual dress (which includes jeans that are not ripped) is required at all times.

The following are not considered “smart casual”:

• Non-golfing sports shirts, shorts or socks.
• Tracksuits, leggings as an outermost layer or jogging bottoms.
• Flip flops/sliders or, for men, open-toed sandals.
• Headgear is not, other than for religious reasons, to be worn in the clubhouse.

After play, golfers are required to change from dirty or wet clothing before entering the clubhouse beyond the changing rooms.

CLEAN AND DRY spikeless or soft-spiked golf shoes may be worn (other than the dining room) during the months of May to October inclusive.

• Golfers are asked to clean shoes using the facilities provided before entering the clubhouse and changing rooms.

In all areas

No changing clothes in the car parks. Please use the changing facilities provided.

Etiquette

Course Etiquette

Please repair your pitch marks and replace fairway divots.
Please use the seed boxes to fill your divots where provided.
Keeping up with the game in front makes a good round for everyone. If you fall behind the pace, please allow players through.
Four-balls should aim to play 18 holes in approximately 4 hours.

Clubhouse Etiquette

Wi-Fi is freely available, however the clubhouse is designated a ‘quiet zone', so please switch your devices to silent and be thoughtful to others.

Mobile phones

The clubhouse is designated a 'quiet zone' so please switch your devices to silent and be thoughtful to others. They can be used discretely for voice calls in all areas of the clubhouse except the lounges, restaurant and bar areas.

When outside, phones should be switched to silent or vibrate mode at all times and can be used discretely for voice calls.

On the courses, they cannot be used except in a medical emergency.

Smoking  

No smoking or vaping in the clubhouse or on the terrace.  Ashtrays are located off each end of the terrace. 

General Behaviour

People should refrain from swearing, especially when in earshot of others.

Please be considerate of others at all times.

The Rangers, Steward and all staff have the full backing of the Club Committee and Board when implementing the rules. Any abuse will be dealt with as a disciplinary matter.
